sefalanaCI and retail identity development

Our  brief was to unify the brand identities across the diverse Sefalana Group. Whilst respecting its 40-year heritage and established brand equity we modernised the brand in the FMCG environment with a simple, bold CI, enhanced store navigation and revised house brand packaging.

 We identified the strongest element in the existing brand identity as the ‘3 Grains’ device – the sorghum, corn and wheat kernels that reflects the brand heritage in mills and milling, as reflected in the name Sefalana, the ‘Bountiful Granary’ of Botswana.
